Planning a date night, especially if it’s your first date is harder than it might seem at first. When you start planning your route, you will find that you have no idea what to do. Luckily, there are a few things you can try to make your date more touching.
- Think about your transportation.
Do you really want to pick her/him up in your old pick-up truck? If you want to take your car, you should at least clean it at first. However, there are many other exciting options. If you rent a limo, you will leave a better impression on your sweetheart. A luxurious car will show them how much you actually care about them.
- Create a plan B.
If you are planning an activity that might suddenly get canceled (e.g. walking outside) due to the weather change or so, try to create another plan. That plan B will save you from any sudden changes and will make you feel more comfortable. If your activity depends on a location, you have to make sure that your plan B option is located nearby.
- Ask your loved one.
If you want to create a surprise, you want to hide your plan from your lovebird. However, in the majority of cases, your sweetheart will know that you’re planning a date night. This way it would be better if you ask them what they want too. It will save you from spending a date badly and it’s easier to plan together.
- Set a budget.
It’s very important that you have a budget for your night. In the very worst scenario, you will run out of money. In another bad scenario, you will overspend and end up eating oatmeal for two next weeks.
- Go with the flow.
Don’t always stick to your plan. You have to remember that anything can go wrong and the food in a restaurant might not be perfect, but that’s okay. Being tense and always waiting for something to turn out right will spoil your night together. Try to relax and let it all go. When you have a good company it should be easy.
- Write to him/her.
If you worry that you won’t be able to shape your thoughts in a beautiful way, you have to write it all out. When you’re writing, you can create better sentences and you have more time to think. Plus, they will notice that romantic gesture. If you worry that you might blush, give them your letter and ask your loved one to open it when they are alone. This way, you won’t feel awkward.
- Make reservations.
If you can’t be sure that a table or a car you rented will be available when a day X comes, you have to make a reservation beforehand. The majority of services now allow that, plus it’s very easy to plan everything this way. You will be sure that your table is ready for you and your loved one will appreciate your thinking.
- Expect it.
There is a thing that will make every heart melt – expectation. When your woman/man sees that you really want to spend time with them and that you really try to make everything perfect, they will melt. Show them that you care and you really want them to enjoy time with you. You can’t do that with flowers or presents, that look and desire should be in your eyes.
If it’s not your first date, but you still want to impress your partner and make something special out of this night, there is an option for you. Try to recreate your very first date! If you went to a restaurant, book the same table in that restaurant. If you took them for a ride, drive through the same route. That is very touching and it shows that you remember every second with your sweetheart.
